Information on Section 508 is being added to each vendor page on the consortium web site. All vendors were queried on their compliance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act which states that ‘inaccessible technology interferes with an individual's ability to obtain and use information quickly and easily’. (See http://www.section508.gov/index.cfm?FuseAction=Content&ID=3 ) Not all vendors have supplied a statement regarding their accessibility and not all vendors that have responded are compliant. The CCL-EAR committee also reviews a vendor’s compliance with Section 508 and includes that information in their reviews under the section: Accessibility of Service.
