Are you doing virtual teaching/learning for staff? Are you someone, or do you know anyone, who might be interested in participating in a POSTER SESSION at the ALA Annual meeting in Anaheim (Saturday June 28 @ 3:30)? It would be great to have as many community college librarians represented as we can! ====================================== Title: Learning Virtually: Online Professional Development for Library Workers with Tight Budgets and Full Schedules === Saturday, June 28th, 1:30-3:30 pm Description of program: How can e-learning be a solution for your library or institution? Many innovative technologies are available in delivering flexible and inexpensive on-site programs. This program will feature some current trends in e-learning as addressed by creators, experts, and librarians involved with virtual learning, the role of the e-learner, and the use of virtual space in training and development via e-learning. Save the date!! The CCL-EAR committee will host a vendor day of presentations on February 1st in Ontario, CA. The meeting will be held at the Ontario Doubletree Hotel, 222 N. Vineyard, Ontario, CA. Presentations will run from 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM. Lunch will be provided by the Community College League of California.

Program Announcements with trial information have been posted to the consortium web site for the following vendors: ProQuest, Gale, Facts.com, Greenwood Press, Learning Express, World Book, Facts on File, National Library Alliance We have also posted the information for Project Muse. This vendor creates a custom trial based on your IP addresses. Let me know if you would like to trial their resources. Project Muse also has an earlier deadline than our other fall offers. All orders for Project Muse should be into the League office by October 5th.
